DMT Participates in Annual Emergency Rescue and Severe Accident Response Drill with EXAT

Mrs. Anoma Urit, Executive Vice President - Operations (COO), assigned Mr. Kiattisak Wangmaitri, Vice President - Traffic Surveillance & Management Department, Mr. Nakharin Pomjeen, Manager of Operation Control and Traffic Management Center, along with the Special Operations Team of Don Muang Tollway Public Company Limited (DMT), to participate in the annual 2025 emergency rescue and serious accident assistance drill on the expressway, in collaboration with the Expressway Authority of Thailand. The objective is to prepare for the implementation of the Incident Response Plan and to integrate cooperation between DMT, the Expressway Authority, and related agencies in coordinating resources such as tools, personnel, and rescue equipment.

In this joint drill, DMT supported with a fire truck and a fire blanket for electric vehicles, along with two rescue personnel, to participate in the simulation of an electric vehicle colliding with a passenger bus, resulting in a fire with injured individuals and people trapped inside the bus. The DMT rescue team extinguished the fire on the electric vehicle and used the fire blanket until the fire was completely suppressed. The drill took place at the Chimplee Expressway Toll Plaza of the Expressway Authority of Thailand. Supporting expressway users on the Don Muang Tollway is a primary mission that the company emphasizes. The company conducts annual drills of the rescue and serious accident assistance plans to build understanding of roles and correct procedural conduct during actual incidents, as well as to ensure swift evacuation.
