DMT receives Honorable Mention Award at the 30th National Civil Engineering Conference

Don Muang Tollway Public Company Limited (DMT) participated in the 30th National Civil Engineering Conference, held from May 28–30, 2025, at the Chulabhorn International Convention Center, The Kaset Hotel, Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. The event was co-hosted by Kasetsart University, Kamphaeng Saen Campus, and the Engineering Institute of Thailand under H.M. the King's Patronage (EIT), under the theme: “Promoting Awareness for the Establishment of a Sustainable Society through Environmentally Friendly Infrastructure Engineering and Carbon Neutrality.”

Dr. Sakda Panwai, Managing Director of DMT, led a delegation of executives including Dr. Pornnarong Lueanpech, Vice President - Project Management, and Mr. Noppon Pokee Vice President - Business Development and Sustainability Strategy, along with the Research and Development team. They joined professionals and academic institutions from across the country to exchange technical knowledge. DMT’s R&D department selected and presented four academic papers at the conference, focusing on the company's advancements in technology, environmental systems, and infrastructure development.

The four papers were:

  1. Concept Testing of an Automatic Incident Detection System Using Image Processing Technology – by Wanchaloem Duangkanya
  2. Cost-Effectiveness Study of Green Building Retrofitting: A Case Study of the Don Muang Tollway Control Center Office – by Pichanun Toonchalad
  3. Application of Driving Cycles for Pollution Assessment Between Manual and Electronic Toll Collection Lanes: A Case Study on the Utra Phimuk Elevated Tollway – by Yotsawat Kamol
  4. Improvement of Seamless Asphalt Concrete Pavement on the Elevated Tollway to Enhance Surface Smoothness: A Case Study on the Utra Phimuk Elevated Tollway – by Eakpon Petchsrichoung

Among these, the paper titled “Application of Driving Cycles for Pollution Assessment Between Manual and Electronic Toll Collection Lanes: A Case Study on the Utra Phimuk Elevated Tollway” by Yotsawat Kamol received an Honorable Mention Award. This recognition marks a proud achievement for the company and highlights the capabilities of DMT personnel in contributing academic work that promotes sustainable development. It also reinforces the company’s mission to be a leader in environmentally friendly infrastructure.

Additionally, ASIAM Infra Company Limited, a subsidiary of DMT, presented a paper titled “Performance Evaluation of Smartphone-Based International Roughness Index (IRI) Measurement Under Varying Survey Conditions” by Nattapon Suksomklin. The presentation drew considerable interest from academics and attendees for its application of modern technology in pavement assessment. This innovative approach supports the maintenance of transportation infrastructure in Thailand.
